It is one of the biggest and favourite ski resorts of Slovakia and is located 15 km from Liptovský Mikuláš, 60 km from Poprad's airport, in the upper part of Demänovská valley. It is a part of The National Park Low Tatras and uses the slopes of Chopok and Dereše. There are great conditions for down-hill skiing and many opportunities for cross-country skiing. Snowmaking and night skiing are a matter of course. There is a U-ramp available for those who prefer snowboarding. Fans of skialp and paragliding will also be satisfied.

This ski resort is found below the peak of Opalisko (1210 metres of altitude) in Low Tatras. It is located 5 km from Liptovský Mikuláš.

The ski resort is located beyond the village of Žiar, at the beginnig of Žiarska valley, not far from Liptovský Mikuláš. The slopes are of a medium difficulty level. There are 2 ski-lifts and 2 skiing tracks, one of which is also provided with snowmaking technology. Skiers can also enjoy night skiing, thanks to the lighting.

Is located at the north-facing slopes of Low Tatras, 8 km from Liptovský Mikuláš. The ski resort JAVOROVICA is provided with snowmaking technology.

This well-known ski resort is located 18 km south from Liptovský Hrádok, in the National Park Low Tatras. Not only down-hill, but also cross-country skiers will be satisfied.

This ski resort is appropriate for school ski trips as there are tracks of different difficulty levels. Parking in this ski resort is completely free of charge.

The ski resort is situated beyond the village Jakubovany in West Tatras, near Liptovský Mikuláš. The lenght of the track is 1700 metres and for those who enjoy cross-country skiing the tracks are about 10 km long.

The ski resort is located 300 m beyond a part of Liptovský Mikuláš called Podbreziny. The start altitude of the track is 585 metres and the elevation of the track is 115 metres. Parking is free of charge.

It is one of the favourite skialp spots in West Tatras. The history of this sport here was started in 1979. In this year, the first skialp competition took place here. Since that time, Žiarska valley is a place for Slovak Championship in Skialp, Skialpfest, and other events.
